Dave and Earl Hebner's very first shoot interview ever! If you want to hear about some shocking inside scoops on the real deal about Survivor Series with the Bret Hart screw job this is for you. For the first time ever Earl and Dave talk about what they knew. What lead up to the decision. What happened backstage and all the after shocks of that event. You will be as amazed as we were at what really happened that night in Canada!!! Both men also discuss working and partying with the Nature Boy Ric Flair. They talked about working for the Crocketts. Dave and Earl talk about how they got into the WWE and did the double switch angle with Andre and Ted Dibiase. Hear what it was like to work matches with Steve Austin, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Andre and more. Who they hated to work with like Ultimate Warrior, Big Show and more. What happened on the horrific night when Owen Hart passed away? Both men talk about why they got fired and what they think of Johnny Ace. These were the first comments ever about why they got fired from their point of view. This is a hell of a interview!!! How did they get started in the wrestling business? How did referees get trained? Did they ever want to be pro wrestlers? Any memorable NWA refereeing experiences?(Earl) What led to Earl leaving the NWA? Rumors say it was a money dispute with Jim Crockett. Why did Dave never join the NWA? Is it true Dave wanted Earl to join the WWF for a long time before Earl finally agreed? How did Dave get his break as a referee in the WWF? Twin Referees Angle: Andre The Giant ends Hulk Hogan's 4 year WWF Title reign after falling on him during an attempted powerslam and getting a fast three count from Earl(angle was someone had been paid by DiBiase to get their face reconstructed to look like Dave Hebner) What are some of your thoughts on the infamous angle? Since Earl was introduced as a heel, did you continue to play a heel on shows afterwards or did the WWF act like it was a one-time deal? Thoughts on working with Hulk Hogan? What was it like to work in the WWF during the Hulkamania Era? Thoughts on working with The Ultimate Warrior? Dave's memories of refereeing the Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior match at Wrestlemania 6 in Toronto. Thoughts on working with Andre The Giant? Thoughts on other early 90's WWF referees such as Joey Morella, Danny Davis, Tim White and Mike Chioda. How did Shane McMahon get a start as a referee and did either of them help him out? Was there any jealousy that Vince's son got to be a referee? In 1992, Sid was fired from the WWF after Dave caught him cheating on a drug test. Was there any heat with Sid because of the incident? Did either Dave or Earl referee the Hogan vs Sid match at Wrestlemania 8 where Sid doublecrossed Hogan and kicked out of his legdrop? Montreal, Survivor Series 1997: Vince McMahon screws Bret Hart with Earl's help. When were you let in on the plan? How did Vince approach you and did he threaten to fire you if you didn't go along with the plan? Did Earl tell Dave what was going to go down or was it the other way around? Describe the emotions you went through and when you finally came to the decision that you would go along with what Vince had planned. Bret has said many times that he personally chose you to be the referee because he trusted you. At any point did you consider letting Bret know what Vince was planning? Most in the industry are still torn as to whether Shawn Michaels knew what was going down or not. What do you think? How did you feel when Vince turned the Montreal Screwjob into a huge angle which led to him becoming the top heel in the company at the time? Did you think it was in poor taste? How is your relationship with Bret since? Also, how is your relationship with Shawn Michaels? What did you feel during the aftermath when the crowd chanted "You Screwed Bret" at various arenas for the next 6/7 years. There were reports Earl used to do crotch chops at fans who said he screwed Bret. Any other memories of confrontations with fans who chanted "You Screwed Bret?" Thoughts on the angle in early 2000 where after Earl cost Triple H the World Title, Triple H beat him up and put him on the sidelines for two months only to have Linda McMahon reinstate him as a replacement for Shane McMahon during a Triple H/Rock match. When Vince bought WCW and brought some of the referees in, was there any heat between the veteran WWF crew and the new WCW crew? At Invasion 2001, Earl faced Nick Patrick in a special match. Any memories of the match? Did you get specially trained for the match? When did Dave switch from being a referee to being a road agent exclusively? Go through a day in the life of a road agent on a Monday or Tuesday depending on which brand they are assigned to. What is a road agent's job on house shows and during the travel time in between cities? Which does Dave prefer: Being a referee or being a road agent? Survivor Series 2004: Triple H nailed Earl with an elbowdrop causing Earl to require shoulder surgery which kept him out for a few months. What went wrong or was it just a fluke incident? Did the WWE offer you a backstage role? Were either of them on the flight from the hell? 7/22/05: Earl Hebner fired for selling WWE merchandise out of his store (Pro Shirt Shop) in St. Louis. The next day his brother Dave is supposedly fired as well due to the contreversy although rumors persist that he was just fined and still has a role in the company. Explain the circumstances that led up to the terminations. Does Earl still work at the store or have any controlling interest? Do they regret what they did? If Vince calls them up tomorrow, would they return? What are they up to these days? Thoughts on Brian Hebner (Earl's son) as a referee. How did he get started? Was he encouraged to get into the business or was it a decision he made on his own? Thoughts on other current WWE referees. (Nick Patrick, Charles Robinson, etc.) How does the WWE scout for new referees? Is it by reccomendation only? Are there any differences to how they were trained as referees compared to how new refs are taught? Talk about the differences between adjusting from the old style of TV tapings and house shows compared to doing two live TV shows per week if not more. Would either consider working for TNA if given the chance or are they done with wrestling if they aren't in the WWE? Have either of them had any dangerous confrontations with fans? Any good road stories? Any memorable screwups?(June 2, 2003: During a six man tag [Shawn/Nash/Hurricane vs Evolution] on RAW, Earl accidentally only counts to two on the pinfall.) What are some of their favorite matches ever to ref?
